With a Diploma in Counselling Psychology from Clearmind International Institute, a BA from UBC and ten years experience in Shamanic healing
modalities and traditions, Satu Springer is a Registered Professional Counsellor, facilitator, and teacher who brings a unique combination of
heart and mind together in her work with others.
After many years in corporate administration, Satu was feeling stagnant and unfulfilled, but with no strong vision of what else she would
want to do with her life. She was good at her job and it paid well making it a hard decision to move to something else. Instead, staying
where she was, Satu began doing personal |
work and apprenticing part-time to learn the healing practices of First Nations and aboriginal
cultures from around the world. It helped but it was not enough - she still was not fulfilled.
Then in the spring of 2003, she found herself in the hospital emergency room in extreme pain - it was the wake up call she needed. She
decided life was too short to spend eight hours a day doing something that did not make her happy and although at that moment she did not
know what would, she decided it was time to learn.
Her shamanic apprenticeship guided her path and, with more investigation into herself, Satu discovered her passion lay in helping and
teaching others find their way to their true selves. With that she said goodbye to her safe, fifteen-year career in corporate administration
to follow her dream of becoming a counsellor and, in turn, to give back to the world.
In this journey, she found herself and found a life full of joy and purpose. She now combines her many business talents with heart, soul, and
spirit to bring forward a counselling practice through which she teaches how to live a life of purpose, balance, integrity, faith and
magnitude.
